Description
You might be wondering why a camera that is only 3.7 wide has a 2.5 Diagonal Polycrystalline TFT LCD. Well, we not only want you to get the picture, but we want you to be able to see the picture as well. That's why we dedicated almost two-thirds of the DMC-FX7's back portion to the LCD screen. This high-quality, 114,000-pixel display makes it easy to see what you're shooting. You can even boost the backlighting by 33% by pressing the Power LCD button when shooting outdoors on a sunny day.

Strengths: 2.5" LCD. Image stabilizer ("the" most helpful function in the world).
Weakness: Battery life (only 710mAh)
Nice and small. Compare to Canon, FX7 has much more advantages because of its IS function. 2.5" LCD is very easy on the eye. However, it also drain lot of power form the battery. Some posts has mentioned NP-40 replacement. BE AWARE!!...only the NP-40 used for Fuji and Pentax will be able to fit in FX7. Do NOT use the one (also called NP-40) for Casio. Check the battery dimension FIRST!!!
Strengths: tiny size, excellent lens, effective image stabilization, beautiful screen, excellent interface
Weakness: noise in shadows, unimpressive battery life
While I use a DSLR which serves as my principal digital camera, I have come to miss the convenience of having a small digicam that I could carry around easily in my pocket at all times, as I used to do a few years ago. So, I started looking at the very small cameras now available, from Casio, Nikon, Panasonic, Pentax, and Sony, deciding to try the Nikon 5200 and Panasonic on the basis of several...
Strengths: Digital stabilizer, Lica lens, very compact, excellent picture quality
Weakness: probably battery life, not many expert options, limited movie mode
I did a lot of research before I bought this one. I wanted a very compact camera but with superior image quality. This camera actually delivers what I want. One tip about the battery... In many reviews I read, biggest complian is about battery life. Because so many people have the same experince, I believe that must be true. But there is a super simple solution though. The NP-40 battery that...
Strengths: sharp image, handy camera, easy control, OIS system does a great job
Weakness: relatively expensive, less battery life, terminal cover filmy
I have been searching for a digital camera for an while to replace my antique digital camera (it has only 1.5 mega pixel). and I picked panasonic fx7 for my choice. Because it has 5 mega pixels. The OIS system helps you take a good picture in dark environment. Also, the camera is using Leica as a optical len and the color of the picture is very sharp and brilliant. I suggest you buy an extra...
Strengths: image stablization, big screen
Weakness: Battery life, Battery life, Battery life, Battery life
the manufacture claims that the battery life will last up to 120 pictures. in actuality, the camera will only last about 30 pictures before it completely discharges if you review some of the pictures you took and are using the flash. this makes the camera unusable and prevents the owner from scrolling through the pictures or taking pictures without worrying about the battery life. I found myself...
Strengths: Great size. Large Screen. TV Connection. Editing photos. Digital Zoom and Optical Zoom. Software. Night Photos.
Weakness: There are NO Weakness' with the Camera, just that a carrying case didn't come with it and Not enough memory upon purchase of camera.
Great size (fits in your pocket easily). VERY NICE Screen. Connection to TV. Trimming, Rotating, and Zooming of photos while in playback mode. Digital Zoom and Optical Zoom combined is great. Software is great and easy to use. Taking pictures at Night come out great. Its very good quality. There is also a option in the camera called Scenery Mode where you can pick from Night Portrait, Fireworks,...
Strengths: Image Stabilization in a tiny package Solidly built Huge display Feature packed Lots of pixels
Weakness: none yet... perhaps too small?
I just picked up this camera last night at Fry's and have not had a chance to really put it through it's paces, but initial impression is very positive. It's quite incredible to finally be able to have a really tiny, solidly built, 5MP camera with image stabilization! The display is huge and brite, and the 5-way menu navigator is a big improvement over the all-in-one joystick on my old Canon S40...
Strengths: very good ois
Weakness: very bad movie at night or low light environment
all movies that i recorded at night are hardly been seen. viewing it on the camera before downloading to a computer is still alright. i got a full refund from manufacturer and that's why i only used it for about a week. MUST buy ONLY if you don't need movie recording
Strengths: Large LCD, hand-shaking reduction
Weakness: Battery doesn't last long; no view port.
The hand-shaking reduction is very convenient indeed! I can take OK pictures in a dark room without a tripod. It feels a bit warm after using for a while, and the battery doesn't last for 2 hours of continuous operation. When we asked some old guy to take a picture for us, he searched for a while for a viewport, and he was so confused with the LCD. It is handy and definitely would buy it again.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX7 5 Megapixel Compact Camera -...
Strengths: Picture Quality Image Stabilization Compact Size
Weakness: Battery Life
I have had this camera for about a week now......Its the best camera that I owned. with my old 2 MP Camera am used to taking all the pictures twice but with this camera all the pictures that took so far came out very good. Its small in size and it has all the features you want. I think this is much better camera that the Sony T33. The only downside to this camera is the battery life but you can...
